Marc Doiron,
Time is Precious
(independent, 2003)

Time is Precious is the debut album for this Michigan resident and dueling piano player. Marc Doiron's songwriting style is the storytelling vein, in some ways similar to that of female singer-songwriter Jewel.

The album has a pop-country feel about it with a hint of blues, although Marc shows his rockin' side on "Living for the Moment." In all, Time is Precious contains 10 original songs of love, family and faith.

Time is Precious is a laidback album good for unwinding from the fast-paced, hectic world of today. The album -- featuring songs including "Going Home," "Someone Like You," "Better Days to Come" and "God's Little Gift" -- is uncomplicated and focuses on Marc's voice and piano playing. The accompanying instruments do not overpower the soft, pleasing sound of Marc's voice. The mandolin and fiddle in particular are a nice addition to the songs on the album.

In many of the songs on Time is Precious, Marc's faith comes through, but it is never intrusive or overbearing. His feelings shine through without pushing and preaching.
