Mention the name of Ryan Farish and few people will have even heard of him -- yet millions of people hear Farish's music every day. The 28-year-old Florida resident has his music played more than 30 times a day on the Weather Channel during the Local on the 8's segments. Farish also composed the theme song for the Weather Channel program Storm Stories.

Some of these same melodies can be heard on Farish's debut album, Beautiful. With his debut, Farish has mastered the art of merging electronic music and new age sounds with his piano and digital samples.

Before the release of Beautiful, Farish saw his music downloaded over 1.8 million times on MP3.com, where he reached No. 1 on 38 occasions. It's easy to see why. His music is not just for playing in the background; it's the perfect companion for lounging in a hammock in the shade on a hot 'n' lazy summer day or snuggling up in front of a fire on a cold winter's night.
