The Road Hammers,
The Road Hammers
(Airstrip, 2005)

This is a mix of southern rock from north of the border, complete with some kickin' guitar parts and a little bluegrass thrown in for good measure.

The Road Hammers is an enhanced CD complete with a video for "I'm a Road Hammer" and screensaver. The music portion of the CD contains 12 songs about life on the road and those left behind -- and there are a few "flat tires," commonly known as bloopers and outtakes, at the end.

The Road Hammers is a lively collection of truckin' tunes including the classic hit made famous by Jerry Reed and Smokey & the Bandit, the song "East Bound and Down." It's perfect for those long hauls or just for having fun. And in case there is any doubt about what the CD is about, it opens with the crank of a semi engine.

The Road Hammers is the creation of Jason McCoy, the 2004 Canadian Country Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year. The band's music is a salute to the men and women who are the lifeline of the country -- truckers.
