Tom Adams & Michael Cleveland, Live at the Ragged Edge (Rounder, 2004) Live at the Ragged Edge by Tom Adams and Michael Cleveland is a nice, scaled-down performance with a guitar, banjo, fiddle and mandolin played by just the two musicians in a small, informal setting at the Ragged Edge Coffeehouse in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in 2002. The show has a jam-session feel to it, but with every bit of the stunning musicianship bluegrass lovers have come to expect from these two. The tunes and songs are some of the most recognizable in the bluegrass genre, such as "Dear Old Dixie," "Cripple Creek," "Liberty," "Shady Grove," etc., just to name a few of the 22 selections on the disc. I highly recommend this recording to anyone who favors two-instrument versions of bluegrass favorites. |
