Edward J. Whitelock is a professor of English at Gordon College in Barnesville, Georgia. He is co-author, with David Janssen, of Apocalypse Jukebox: The End of the World in American Popular Music, which was published by the PopMatters imprint of Soft Skull Press in March 2009. He lives with his wife and two sons in a Victorian home surrounded by kudzu and cats of equally anarchic tendencies. He's old enough to remember when Celtic music didn't all sound like Enya farting. |
