Laurie Thayer began writing in the first grade, producing her first short story with construction paper and Crayolas.
From there, she progressed to short stories and novels. Her first novel, an abyssmal thing modeled on the Chronicles of Narnia, was soundly and thankfully rejected many years ago by the Avon Flare Young Adult Novel competition. Laurie had been caught by the writing bug, though, and continues to submit fiction, despite editors' attempts to quell her ambitions by drowning her in rejection slips. It was her wonderful creative writing professor who advised her to begin writing reviews, and so she did, joining the staff of Rambles.NET shortly after its creation.
