Stephen Warbeck, Two Brothers (Decca, 2004) |
Two Brothers is a very pleasant album. It is a joy to the ear -- but I wonder just who such soundtrack releases are aimed at. I enjoyed the 19 tracks on offer as good orchestral pieces, well composed and excellently played. Lie back, crank up the player and drift away on the wings of melody. Perhaps if I had seen the movie I would have had even more pleasure in associating images with the sounds. Still, I am sure that any fan of the film could use the CD to relive the experience. If you like good orchestral music and did not see the film, give it a try. by Nicky Rossiter |
