Ultimate Spider-Man #10: Hollywood by Brian Michael Bendis & Mark Bagley (Marvel Comics, 2004)
Good thing Spider-Man's so close to the scene, eh? But the ensuing fight, while it provides some good footage for the movie -- way below budget -- does not go well for Peter, and he soon finds himself in Brazil, minus a tooth. Look, it's a lot to explain -- if you want the details, read the book! Meanwhile, Gwen Stacy, who still believes Spider-Man was responsible for her father's death, is in no way happy the hero's to be glorified on film. As if Peter's life wasn't complicated enough, Gwen also makes a surprising discovery in his basement. Then there's a wacky odyssey home (via Atlanta and Newark), an amusing new look for Spider-Man and a race, Ferris Bueller-style, between Peter and his aunt. Of course, Gwen's there, waiting for him. Look, just read the book, OK? ![]() |
