Sue Richards, Grey Eyed Morn (Maggie's Music, 1991)
And it is from that same rich history of music that Richards has selected the 14 tunes and tune sets on Grey Eyed Morn, Richards' first solo album from 1991. Besides her eight albums since, Richards has also appeared on well over a dozen others. The Celtic harp music on Grey Eyed Morn was taken from Scotland, Ireland and Wales, and with the help of six fellow musicians Richards brings those old tunes to life. And, while many of the tunes heard on the album will not be played at a typical session or jam, Richards does include one tune sure to be familiar to nearly every person in the world in some form or another once every year: "Auld Lang Syne." ![]() |
