Another one from the vaults ... I unearthed One More Mile... by the now defunct Celtic trio Fieldstone, and I enjoyed it enough to want to share.

Fieldstone, according to a little bit of online research, was Mark (guitar, bouzouki, bass) and Bekki Titchner (vocals, flute, whistle) and Tara Sansom (fiddle). The band appears to have parted ways when Sansom moved to Kentucky, leaving the Ridgway, Pennsylvania-based couple to form the Titchner-Scott band.

Anyway, this 2008 recording includes 13 tracks, with traditional, original and cover material from mostly Celtic and Appalachian sources. The album offers nice, clean arrangements and some absolutely lovely vocal harmonies. The lead singer, Bekki, has a soft, gentle voice, neatly framed by Mark and Tara's strings. And, when fiddle takes the lead, it sings with crackling energy.

One More Mile... is another good find. Check it out, if you can.
