Charles Cassady Jr., Paranormal Mississippi River (Schiffer, 2011) Charles Cassady Jr.'s Paranormal Mississippi River is different from anything I have encountered before. I've read several books of stories about haunted places or periods of time, but I have yet to see anything quite like an illustrated encyclopedia. Entries in this volume are cross-referenced and graphically illustrated with either a photograph or a drawing. The format is easily accessible, and the cross-referencing allows you to get the whole story if there's a chain of events involved in a particular story. I'd recommend the book for fans of the paranormal of all ages. Paranormal Mississippi River is definitely a less dry approach to the subject, unlike some books that are simply page after page of unending prose. |
