Alicia Karen Elkins

Alicia Karen Elkins is an Irish/Cherokee half-breed. She is a former sergeant of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army, where she served in an all-male unit in a combat position. Karen has served as state commander for AllVets in multiple states and is an activist for veterans' rights and benefits.

Karen is a native hillbilly of the Appalachian foothills in northeast Alabama. She is Cherokee proud and has been honored as a warrior among her people. She is a follower of Native American beliefs and practices and an activist for Native American rights.

She spends her time reading, writing, listening to music, dancing, watching movies and doing crafts. She is extremely eccentric, reclusive and a loner by nature, although she does hope to eventually settle into a comfy domestic role with her entire world wrapped around the elusive Mr. Right.

We regret to note that Karen passed away in 2019. She was 58.
